The Energy Research Partnership (ERP) was established to enable the UK to become a world leader in the development of innovative new technologies. This high-level forum brings together key funders of energy research, development, demonstration and deployment (RDD&D) in Government, industry and academia, plus other interested bodies, to identify and work together towards shared goals.
The Partnership has been designed to give strategic direction to UK energy research, development, demonstration and deployment (RDD&D), in the context of the Government’s Energy Policy and especially with regard to the aim of increasing national research and development expenditure.

“Energy, and how we produce and use it, is one of the greatest challenges that we face as a country as we move into the twenty-first century. Together we must play our part in tackling climate change head-on and ensure that we, the Energy Research Partnership, come up with viable solutions to those challenges and address the issues that will affect our children and future generations.”
